So I just got off the phone with someone at the Yankees ticketing office. I wanted clarification on the bundled ticket situation, but she didn’t offer any more information than what has already been published. If you only want to attend the RM/Milan game on August 8, you’ll have to wait until individual tickets go on sale. That date was not given.
For now my best suggestion is to follow the Yankees’ events Twitter & soccer page for up-to-date information.

Celtic FC have confirmed a friendly match against Real Madrid in Philadelphia on August 11. Since the Scottish league kicks off on August 4, Celtic will have to reschedule their league fixture to accomodate the friendly.

I was doing some digging on this Real Madrid/Celtic friendly in Philly (August 11). Ticketmaster has taken the link down, & the Scottish Premier League has yet to publish any approved friendlies for the club. Considering scheduling constraints, I’m not convinced we’ll see this match-up. For one, Celtic are in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League. The 1st leg will be played July 31/August 1 & the 2nd leg a week later. Also, the SPL’s season begins in early August. I just think it would be illogical to schedule a friendly during that time, so unless Celtic only plan to bring their youth squad and/or move the date, I don’t think this friendly will happen.
Also, earlier this week AC Milan’s director of football tweeted that they & Real Madrid would meet on August 8 at Yankee Stadium. It has since been deleted, & I’ve yet to come across any other official confirmation. It’s possible that the match has been pulled from the schedule or negotiations for the date and/or venue are still incomplete.

Real Madrid’s hopes of winning the Champions League this season will face an early test on Tuesday when Jose Mourinho’s side takes on AC Milan in Group G.
Madrid couldn’t go into the game at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in better shape: undefeated and provisionally top of the Spanish league thanks in large part to Cristiano Ronaldo’s league-leading six goals.
Ronaldo not only scored twice in Saturday’s convincing 4-1 win at Malaga, but he also set up both of striker Gonzalo Higuain’s goals and leads the league in assists with four.
“It gives us a lot of confidence looking forward to the clash with Milan, when we will have a duty to do things because we can qualify for the next phase,” Ronaldo said after the match.
Madrid can certainly leave itself on the verge of reaching the knockout stages with a victory and Mourinho can count on a near full squad after Raul Albiol and Sergio Canales returned from injury. Fullback Sergio Ramos is expected to be available after sitting out Saturday, while only former Milan playmaker Kaka is certain to be absent.
