EMD: Alonso, Casillas, Khedira, Özil, C. Ronaldo on List of 23 for 2011 Ballon d’Or *UPDATE

The list will be published tomorrow, but El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that all five players will be included. The three finalists will be named on December 5. 

The 10 nominees for Coach of the Year will also be publicized Tuesday morning. José Mourinho, last year’s recipient is again one of the nominees, along with Vicente del Bosque.

*The official list excluded Sami, but Karim was added in his place.

La Roja: Injury Report - Ramos & Alonso

RFEF tweeted that Sergio left the game due to discomfort in his left thigh. In the post-game press conference, Del Bosque confirmed that Xabi’s injury was only a knock & that he hopes both players will be OK so that they can continue with the team. In a follow up tweet, RFEF noted that Xabi has lacerations & a big bruise on the interior side of his right leg, which came from the studs of Hübschman’s boots.
